National Women's Health Week: May 11-17, 2008 During Women’s Health Week, Governor Napolitano’s Office will lead efforts to focus on engaging government, business, and community partners in raising awareness about women’s health issues. Groups across the state are encouraged to provide health screenings and education to women throughout the week.
State Capitol Executive Tower1700 W. Washington, Phoenix, AZ 85007Beginning Mother’s Day, May 11, 2008, Arizona will join the nation in a week-long observance of Women’s Health Week. While women should think about their health every day, Women’s Health Week reminds women that taking care of themselves is essential to living longer, healthier and happier lives. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Women’s Health recognizes that staying active is a vital piece of women’s health and is coordinating a free, 8-week physical activity program called the WOMAN challenge. Women and girl are encouraged to set and reach walking goals by choosing a virtual route and charting progress To register or find more information on the WOMAN challenge visit: www.womenshealth.gov/woman or click here!
