VACCINE UPDATE 11.30.2009
Seasonal flu vaccine shipments have been received and the Benefit Options Wellness flu vaccine campaign is scheduled to re-start at State worksites Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
Worksite flu clinic schedules for Phoenix, Tucson, and rural areas have been posted on the "work site schedule" link of this page.
Healthwaves' public clinics are set to re-open Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
SCHEDULES
The Benefit Options Flu Vaccine Program is set to begin September 14, 2009 and run through December 18, 2009. During this flu vaccine program Benefit Options will be providing only the annual flu vaccine, and will not be administering H1N1 (Swine Flu) vaccinations.
There will be two ways for Employees and Benefit Options members to receive a FREE flu shot this year: Healthwaves public clinics and State work site clinics. The clinics will be available as follows:
- Healthwaves Public Clinics (covered 9/14/2009 thru 12/18/2009)
- State Work Site Clinics (covered 10/1/2009 thru 12/18/2009)
All events are first come, first serve. No appointments are necessary. Please check this website the day of your scheduled flu clinic for confirmation of the event. Some clinics may be rescheduled due to flu vaccine shipment delays. All clinics are subject to vaccine availability .
FLU VACCINE PROGRAM INFORMATION:
WARNING
You should not receive vaccine if you:
1. Have ever had a serious allergic reaction to eggs or to a vaccine
2. Have a fever, acute respiratory infections, or other infections or illness
3. Have a history of Guillin-Barre Syndrome
