Walgreens Health Initiatives (WHI) is a division of the Walgreens Corporation. WHI has partnerships with grocery stores and other pharmacies, and has the largest network of pharmacy providers in the country. The WHI website has a search function that allows you to look for a participating pharmacy location near you. |

I’m going out of the country for a year. How can I utilize my prescription plan? Can Walgreens Health Initiative (WHI) mail the prescriptions to me outside of the U.S.? |

Prescriptions cannot be mailed outside of the U.S. You may receive a one-year supply for certain prescriptions through mail-order service prior to leaving the U.S. |

Benefits are covered in-network. You may call WHI to locate a pharmacy in the area in which you are traveling. |

What kind of formulary does WHI offer? |

The WHI plan has a three-tier formulary also called the Preferred Medication List (PML); the cost for up to a 30-day supply of medication bought at a retail pharmacy is $10 for a generic drug, $20 for a preferred (formulary) drug and $40 for a non-preferred (non-formulary) drug. |
